The Bryston SP 1.7
offers your choice of 5.1 or 6.1 or 7.1 or .2 surround
sound in Bryston quality and is upgradable to the latest
digital processing, whatever that may be. The SP1.7
offers six channel analog inputs for use with a unit that
has it's own six channel digital processor on-board.
Suggested uses may be SACD or DVD-A connection and any
other similar pre-processing. The SP1.7 has a great
analog heritage and preserves it by being capable of
completely eliminating the digital circuitry from the
signal path for music playback. In fact, the SP1.7 is so
adept at music quality that it uses the identical analog
signal path as found in the fabulous BP-25 preamplifier.
