The 99 preamplifier is Rogue Audio's premium preamp and comes standard with remote volume control. It is very well built with a solid heft that puts many a power amplifier to shame. A unique feature is the Ninety-Nine's adjustable tube gain stage. In addition to the remote volume level control, a five setting gain switch allows you to adjust the amount of pure tube preamplification to suit your listening taste, amplifier sensitivity and room acoustics. The 99 has a stunning sound quality for an unbelievable price. The Rogue Audio 99 preamplifiers have separate power supplies with the transformer and low voltage AC duties kept out of the main chassis and away from the signal. As usual with Rogue Audio, there is a very high value here for a very reasonable price. A nice feature for the vinyl Lp enthusiast, this unit is available with a built-in MM - MC all tube phono stage. The unit is standard as a line stage, but has space inside and dedicated connections ready to accept the Rogue Audio tube phono stage. The 99 linestage operates from four 6SN7 tubes and the phono stage from four 12AX7A tubes. There is also a headphone jack hidden on the back panel.
